About Raw Mala
What began as a quiet personal practice became a return to self. I started making malas more than a decade ago — simple strands at first, then pieces created in meditation, each knot becoming a breath, each stone a reflection. Over time, I realized that what I was really creating wasn’t jewelry, but moments of connection — between the hands, the heart, and something greater.
Raw Mala was born from that realization. Every piece is hand-knotted with intention, using natural and often rare materials chosen for their energy and story. Each mala carries the warmth of the process, the touch of meditation, and the quiet promise that beauty and meaning can coexist.
The name Raw Mala comes from the idea that truth, like beauty, doesn’t need to be polished. The word raw speaks to authenticity — to the unfiltered nature of the human spirit. Some stones are smooth, some are rough, some marked by time — just like us. Together, they form something whole. A Raw Mala is a reminder that our light isn’t diminished by imperfection, it’s revealed through it.
Each mala is made entirely by hand — from the sourcing of materials to the selection of every bead and the rhythm of every knot. No two will ever be the same. These are not mass-produced pieces; they are small works of art, made in meditation and with purpose. There may be times when the shop feels quiet, when only a few malas are available, or when you’re waiting for one that hasn’t yet come into being. That’s part of the practice — allowing time, intention, and spirit to shape what’s meant to arrive.
If you’re drawn to something unique or wish to collaborate on a custom design, I welcome that exchange. Each mala begins as intention, and sometimes, the most meaningful pieces are born from shared vision.
Today, Raw Mala continues to evolve as both art and offering — a meditation in motion and a small act of giving. A portion of every purchase supports causes that bring light to others, reflecting the belief that we rise by lifting one another.
